Wheres the menu to look at?
Our favorite Sushi place:) They even have vegetarian and vegan sushi for ME;)
Sadly this missed on all counts. Sat at the bar which is our favorite spot wherever we go. Fish wasn’t quality, service ok and personality of the chef completely absent.
MoreBest sushi in auburn! Their veggie sushi menu is tops!
Good appetizer options. One of the few Japanese places that list vegetarian options. Vegetarian ramen was pretty darned good. A tad understaffed at peak Saturday dinner hour, but considerate and helpful staff. Also, try the tempura vegetables! They were light and not oily or chewy. We enjoyed them! Table by the door was chilly. Owners seem to take time off in late January through February, so double check that it's open if you're planning to try the place around that time.
MoreVery good and fresh. Love this place!
New to us. Always looking for good sushi place. Prices are very reasonable. We ordered spicy edemami as a starter. Very good. Tea is Jasmine. Other beverages available. The 3 sushi plates we ordered were all different and fresh. I like the sesame seeds in the rice covering the fish rolls. Good service. Time was taken to explain the dishes. Other Japanese food available.
MoreGreat place to eat always
As always, the food was perfect, the setting delightful, and the service impeccable!
MoreGood tasting. A bit expensive. Slow to serve.
Great vegetarian sushi options 👌 pink lady is delicious!
Great place, the people working there are great.
Slightly long wait but very worth it! The fish they put on their rolls were so delicate and just fresh tasting. Both rolls I got were 10/10.(Rainbow roll and Spicy roll)
MoreSpacious lay out and nice tall chairs give you a sense of privacy. It's a quiet place where you don't need to yell to have a conversation which is nice. The sushi is good and friendly staff. With so many options for sushi around I'd say this is place is 4th on my list. Worth going to if you are near by.
MoreI have been enjoying sushi for 40 years. This restaurant ranks in my top 3. I love the rainbow hand rolls. The fish is super fresh and the service is superb. It's definitely worth taking the time to drive there as ther location is a bit out of the way.
MoreUpdate:The last few times I have gone here have been a better experience. 4 stars now.The service (attitude of the employees) is garbage. But if you don't want to go downtown and don't mind ignoring the staff, the food is actually pretty good.
MoreThis was so good! Fresh fish, not padded with too much rice. Yummy sauces. Great service and great prices!
MoreRice was mushy and fish portions were small in Manhattan and Doobeedoo rolls
The lunch special was awesome!! Loved all the choices. Highly recommend the Rainbow roll! (It’s not on the lunch special but so worth it!!)
MoreLove love love this place.... the staff are very attentive, the sushi is outstanding in every science of the word! My husband and I go to a lot of sushi restraunts, and this one in particular, out shines them all.Keep up the good work.Michelle ❤️
MoreThis place is amazing best sushi place in Auburn!! The service is amazing! The employees are amazing and so kind😆 My Mom and dad are friends with the chef and his wife they are amazing! Definitely 10000000% recommend it!
MoreGreat food everytime! I've become a regular now.
Food is priced about a $1 less than typical sushi restaurants in the Bay Area. We got the Salmon Bento and the Salmon was overcooked and a little hard to eat (rubbery with too many grill marks). The nigiri was good, the fish was a thinner cut, but pretty good. Their rice itself was good as well.Servers were very good, constantly checked up and made sure it was all going good. The fried rolls were good, but got tiring after about half due to the type of breading. Overall 4/5, I'd go again, it's good for Auburn. I didn't expect Auburn to have good 🍣.
MoreMy wife and I went on our first date in a long while (2 young children). I had a dragon roll and the A J roll and, as we always have been here, I was impressed once again with the flavor and quality.
MoreFood quality of sushi was really unsatisfying, prices are low since the food was low. Service was good
MoreGreat little hole in the wall sushi restaurant. Their rolls don't have a lot of rice, and have plenty of fresh fish.
MoreFantastic hand rolls
The best sushi place in Auburn. Delicious, great variety, love the sushi chef & his wife...must eat!🍽💖😊
MoreThe radish isn't cut traditionally, the seaweed is dry in the miso soup, the soup has a strange flavor, the rice isn't hot enough, and the display of the sushi could be better, the sushi could also be cut smaller. The waitor never really checked on me either. It was all done very lazy and I didn't feel welcomed. In terms of pros: I'd say the sushi was pretty good...but like I said before:too big of a cut, the prices were also great.
MoreLocals favorite.
Service was excellent, fish was fresh!
I liked this place so much I went back two days later for another lunch.
Quite a find in Auburn. They had a great variety of rolls, Favorite was the Doobeedoo roll. Service was a little slow but as someone else said, worth the wait. We will be back.
MoreOur go-to sushi place. Always courteous, always delicious.
Very good suishi! Service was average. But the quality of suishi was excellent!
Food was excellent, some of the best I have ever had, while still being quite affordable. The restaurant was quiet and comfortable, and the service was pretty good. Highly recommend the nigiri, the quality of the fish was very, very high and the Chef's rolls were very good as well. The Okinawa and Monster roll special were interesting and a very nice accompaniment to the more traditional rolls.
MoreHad the Manhattan Roll per recommendation and it was awesome! Can't wait to come back and try the next roll
MoreI have been here three times and the sushi never disappoints. So good!
We love sushi, so we frequent Take Maru's. They have really good sushi, dinners and lunch specials. Prices are good for what you get. Family run, so the only bad part is when they go on vacation, I can't wait until they get back. Everything is clean. Service I will admit can be prompt but sometimes only with a grumpy face. Depends on the server. Love watching the baby growing up. Beautiful child. Try it, I think you will like it.
MoreI love this place very much. there is a great feeling. The cuisine is good. the service is powerful and the personel is very professional. The pay is fair. I highly recommend.
MoreSushi was ok. Decent service. The sushi Chef was very bland though.
Fantastic! Our favorite affordable sushi joint. Well worth the drive.
The food is amazing and the wait staff are friendly and clear without getting in the way of conversation. Love this place. New favorite in Auburn! Plus they are open on a Monday without the weird afternoon break.
MoreVery fresh sushi, wide variety on menu, good lunch specials, the best assortment of vegetarian sushi I’ve seen at any sushi restaurant and these are good creative items, good sized portions. Not the friendliest sushi restaurant, they are soft spoken and humble so not one of those lively sushi restaurants but their food speaks loudly. We love it!
MoreLove this place..one of our favorites! Great sushi and service is excellent!
Got my order wrong, didnt split the check like we wanted, the salmon was dry, all around the waiter didnt have very good communication.
MoreReally enjoyed the sushi here and the atmosphere. Not the best place I have been but the quality was pretty good and the prices were decent. The place and bathrooms were clean. The sushi was relatively simple but good.
MoreDelicious food. Fast service. Reliably good. My favorites are the tempura combo and the cream pork ramen. My daughter loves the avocado rolls. Yum!
MoreGreat food😄
Horrible food, bad service. I order $70 worth of food to go. The fish was splitting, discolored, tasted and smelled pretty bad.Totally ruined our appetite. I went back and ask for a refund and only got $30 back... they told me no one complains and they don't understand why it's bad so they wouldnt give me a full refund. Nor did they offer or to remake the rolls.100% do not recommended, just go some where else
MoreGreat sushi in a small little nook. Not alot of foot traffic here but great quality fresh fish.
